-30% to pay down debt
-30% towards emergency fund/savings
-30% towards retirement and investments
Once you’ve paid down all your debt and are debt-free consider having FUN with that 30%.

I say when fighting debt, you should put less than 30% toward retirement. Instead, pay off the high debt with as much as possible.
